Steven Cohen, the former chairman of SAC Capital Advisors, is one of the most successful and notorious traders in Wall Street history. He made tens of millions of dollars trading stocks, and his firm was also the subject of a wide-reaching fraud investigation by the U.S. government for insider trading.

The Cohen story is the subject of “Black Edge,” a new nonfiction book by journalist Sheelah Kolhatkar, who joined MarketWatch for a Facebook Live interview. She discussed the Cohen case and insider trading in general, what this sort of crime means for ordinary investors, and what the outlook for fighting such crimes looks like under the Donald Trump administration.
